Output format

JPG is widely accepted but does not support transparency.

Transparent areas become this color; white by default.

Advanced: output quality

Lower quality reduces detail and may reduce file size. PNG does not use a quality setting.

How to convert WEBP to JPG

  1. Choose a still WEBP image.
  2. JPG output is selected. Choose a background for any transparent areas; JPEG has no transparency.
  3. Convert, compare the result and download the newly encoded file. Changing format can increase file size.

Create a real JPEG for compatible uploads

Conversion decodes your WebP and encodes new JPEG bytes. Renaming the extension does not convert an image. Transparent areas use your selected background. Animated WebP is rejected rather than silently losing frames.

Supported files and limits

This converter accepts still WEBP and exports JPG. Up to 10 images per batch, 20 MB each and 40 megapixels per input. Output is limited to 16,384 pixels per edge and 40 megapixels. HEIC, GIF, SVG, PDF, animated PNG and animated WebP are not supported. Large images may exceed your device’s available memory.

Privacy, orientation and metadata

Selected files, filenames and previews stay in this browser page. Samples are fetched from this website only when selected. Start over clears the app’s file references; downloaded files remain on your device. Re-encoded images use the browser’s orientation handling and may change color profiles or remove EXIF and other metadata. An unchanged original keeps its original metadata.
